Four prehistoric house platforms on south-east Roughtor is a Bronze Age settlement site located on the south-eastern slope of Roughtor in Cornwall. The monument consists of four circular or sub-circular platforms, typical of domestic structures from the Bronze Age period, which were created by levelling and terracing the sloping ground to provide level surfaces for habitation. The platforms represent evidence of organised settlement activity on the higher moorland areas of Cornwall during the Bronze Age, a period during which such upland areas were more extensively exploited than in later periods. The site contributes to understanding of prehistoric land use patterns and settlement distribution across Bodmin Moor and the surrounding landscape.
