Gallows Hill, known as The Hanging Stone, is a standing stone of Bronze Age origin located in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. The monument consists of a single upright stone typical of prehistoric ritual or ceremonial monuments from the Bronze Age period. Despite its later colloquial name, which suggests associations with medieval or early modern execution practices, the stone itself is a Bronze Age feature and predates any such historical use by many centuries. The site remains an important example of Aberdeenshire's prehistoric monumental heritage.
