The site comprises the remains of residential hut circles associated with an adjoining field system, representing evidence of rural settlement and agricultural practice from the early modern period. The arrangement and distribution of the structures suggest a planned or semi-planned settlement layout characteristic of post-medieval Highland and upland settlement patterns in northeast Scotland.
