Glenbran is a ring fort situated in Perthshire, Scotland, approximately 590 metres south-east of the settlement from which it takes its name. The monument dates to the Iron Age and consists of a defended circular enclosure characteristic of fortified domestic settlements from this period. The fort stands on bedrock composed of mafic lava and tuff of Silurian to Devonian age, geological formations created by ancient volcanic activity and belonging to the rocks that underlie much of the Midland Valley region.
