Gosbecks is a substantial Iron Age and Romano-British settlement site located near Colchester in Essex. The site comprises an Iron Age hillfort with associated field systems, occupied from approximately the first century BC, which continued in use during the Romano-British period following the Roman conquest. Extensive archaeological investigation has revealed evidence of domestic occupation, craft activities, and the site's role within the broader settlement hierarchy of the region. The monument represents an important example of continuity of settlement across the Iron Age and Romano-British transition in southeast England.
