Grim's Ditch is an ancient linear earthwork consisting of a substantial bank and ditch, surviving as a 1100-metre section extending from Chilton Plantation to Ridge Hill in Berkshire. The monument dates to the Iron Age, when such defensive or territorial boundaries were constructed across the chalk downlands of southern England. The surviving section preserves evidence of the original construction technique and demonstrates the scale of prehistoric engineering undertaken in this landscape. This portion of the wider Grim's Ditch system, which extends across multiple parishes, represents an important example of Iron Age land division and territorial demarcation in the Upper Thames valley region.
