Hadrian's Wall between Tarraby and Beech Grove in Knowefield is a section of the Roman frontier defence system constructed in the second century AD under the Emperor Hadrian. The wall at this location, comprising wall miles 64 and 65, forms part of the fortified barrier that extended across northern Britain from the Solway Firth to the Tyne estuary.
