Haystoun Fort is an Iron Age fortified settlement located in Peeblesshire, in the Scottish Borders region. The fort occupies a defensive position approximately 1190 metres south of Haystoun and comprises earthen ramparts typical of Iron Age hillfort construction in southern Scotland. The site represents the settlement patterns and defensive strategies employed by Iron Age communities in the Tweed valley during the first millennium BC. The fort's topographical situation and structural characteristics reflect the period's emphasis on control of local territory and protection against rival groups during the pre-Roman Iron Age.
