Heilam Broch is a Iron Age defensive structure located in Sutherland, north-west Scotland, situated approximately 620 metres north-east of Heilam. The broch dates to the Iron Age period, representing the distinctive architectural tradition of circular stone towers that characterise the later prehistoric settlement pattern across northern Scotland. These monuments are characterised by their hollow-walled construction and inturned entrances, serving defensive and possibly residential functions within Iron Age society.
