Holy Trinity Priory is a Benedictine priory situated in Michelham, East Sussex, founded in the early thirteenth century as a daughter house of the Benedictine monastery at Grestain in Normandy. The priory comprises a range of substantial medieval buildings, including a church, cloister, and domestic ranges, which survive in varying states of preservation within the surrounding moat and grounds. The site represents an important example of monastic architecture from the High Medieval period, with fabric dating primarily from the thirteenth to fifteenth centuries. Following the Dissolution of the Monasteries in the sixteenth century, the priory was converted to secular use and subsequently developed as a manor house, a transformation reflected in modifications to its surviving structures.
