Horn Ridge cross dyke, cairnfield, round cairn and prehistoric hut circles is a complex of Bronze Age and Iron Age monuments located in Yorkshire. The site comprises multiple archaeological features including a substantial cross-ridge dyke, a field of cairns, a prominent round cairn, and the remains of prehistoric domestic structures in the form of hut circles, indicating sustained settlement and land use during the later prehistoric period. The cross dyke represents a linear defensive or territorial boundary feature characteristic of the Iron Age, whilst the cairnfield and associated round cairn demonstrate funerary and possibly ceremonial practices from the Bronze Age. Together these elements form a palimpsest of prehistoric activity illustrating the evolving use of the upland landscape across several centuries of protohistory.
