The site represents Bronze Age or Iron Age occupation, periods during which such circular or sub-circular dwelling structures were characteristic of upland settlement patterns across Wales. The hut circles, marked by their surviving stone foundations and earthwork traces, indicate domestic activity in this mountainous landscape during the later prehistoric period.
