Salmonsbury Camp is a multivallate Iron Age hillfort located near Bourton-on-the-Water in Gloucestershire. The site comprises multiple defensive earthwork ramparts and ditches which enclose an area of considerable extent, characteristic of major fortified settlements of the late Iron Age period. Archaeological evidence and topographical survey indicate its construction and use during the later pre-Roman Iron Age, likely serving as a significant regional centre for the surrounding population. The monument survives as substantial earthwork remains and represents an important example of Iron Age defensive architecture in the Cotswolds region.
