Knowe of Swandro is a Neolithic mound located approximately 400 metres south-southeast of Skaill on the Westside of Orkney. The site has yielded significant archaeological evidence of occupation spanning the Neolithic period, with material culture including pottery and stone tools consistent with settlement activity from around the fourth millennium BC. Excavation has revealed structural remains indicative of domestic occupation, contributing to understanding of early settlement patterns in Orkney. The monument's preservation and the quality of finds recovered have made it an important site for studying Neolithic life in the northern isles.
