Langwell Fort and Dun is an Iron Age fortified settlement located approximately 500 metres west-southwest of Langwell in Ross-shire, in the Scottish Highlands. The site comprises both a fort and a dun, representing different phases or functions of occupation during the Iron Age period. The dual structures suggest a complex settlement pattern typical of northern Scottish Iron Age communities, where such fortified enclosures served defensive and administrative purposes. The monument remains an important example of Iron Age settlement archaeology in the far north of Scotland, contributing to understanding of contemporary society in this remote region.
