Langwell Water is a pair of Iron Age enclosures with an associated souterrain located in Caithness, Scotland. The site comprises two circular or sub-circular defensive enclosures positioned in proximity to one another, features characteristic of Iron Age settlement hierarchies in northern Scotland. The souterrain, an underground stone-built passage structure, represents a common form of Iron Age domestic or storage architecture found throughout the region. Together, these elements reflect the settlement patterns and defensive strategies employed by Iron Age communities in Caithness during the first centuries BC and AD.
