Caesar's Camp is a multivallate hillfort located in Hampshire, demonstrating the characteristic defensive earthworks of Iron Age fortification. The site comprises multiple parallel banks and ditches that would have enclosed a substantial settlement area, typical of the hillfort tradition prevalent in southern Britain during the later Iron Age period. The monument was subsequently reused during the medieval period, when a park pale, a boundary bank associated with deer park management, was constructed across or adjacent to the earlier fortification, evidence of the site's continued significance in the post-Roman landscape. This palimpsest of Iron Age and medieval features reflects the longstanding strategic and territorial importance of the location across more than a thousand years of occupation.
