Ingleborough Hill is a large univallate hillfort situated in the Yorkshire Dales in North Yorkshire, England. The monument consists of a single substantial defensive rampart enclosing approximately twenty acres of the hilltop, demonstrating Iron Age fortification practices typical of the first millennium BCE. The site's commanding position at over two thousand feet elevation provided strategic control over the surrounding landscape and would have served as a focal point for settlement, storage, and defence during the Iron Age period. The hillfort's substantial earthworks remain visible today, marking it as one of the more impressive examples of prehistoric fortified settlement in the northern Pennines.
