Loch of Huxter Dun is a Iron Age defensive structure located on the island of Whalsay in Shetland, Scotland. The site comprises a stone-built dun, a characteristic fortified dwelling of the Iron Age period, positioned near the loch from which it takes its name. Such duns served as residential strongholds for elite families or small communities and represent an important phase in the settlement archaeology of northern Scotland.
