Lower Cleeton moat is a moated enclosure and associated fishponds located approximately 380 metres south-east of Cleeton Court in Shropshire. The monument comprises an earthwork moat with adjoining pond features, representing a form of medieval domestic fortification and water management typical of the 12th to 16th centuries. Such moated sites served both defensive and practical functions, with the surrounding water providing security and the fishponds offering a valuable food resource for the resident household.
