Lyles Hill is a Neolithic palisaded settlement and later Iron Age hilltop enclosure located in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. The site is significant as evidence of early Neolithic occupation in Ireland, with the palisaded settlement phase representing one of the earliest enclosed settlement types in the Irish archaeological record. The hilltop location was subsequently reoccupied during the Late Bronze Age and Iron Age, when defensive earthwork enclosures were constructed. The site preserves remains of both occupation periods, making it of considerable importance for understanding the long-term use of prominent landscape positions in prehistoric Northern Ireland.
