Meall Meadhonach is a wheelhouse located on the slopes of Meall Meadhonach in Sutherland, northern Scotland, situated approximately 1850 metres south-south-west of the summit cairn. The structure dates to the Iron Age, representing one of the characteristic domestic forms of Atlantic Scotland during this period. Wheelhousees are roundhouses with radial stone partitions extending inward from the outer wall towards a central space, creating a distinctive wheel-like plan that provided structural support and defined internal divisions. This example contributes to the archaeological record of Iron Age settlement patterns and building practices in the Scottish Highlands and Islands.
