Mid Lairgs is a bridge and military road located approximately 200 metres south-southeast of Mid Lairgs in Inverness-shire, Scotland. The site represents infrastructure associated with the military road network developed in the Scottish Highlands during the eighteenth century, following the Jacobite uprisings. The bridge and road formation survive as archaeological remains that document the strategic communications established by British forces to consolidate control over the Highlands. These military roads, constructed under government direction, facilitated troop movement and administration across difficult terrain and remain important evidence of the post-1746 reorganisation of the Highlands.
