Moated site at Doveden Hall is a medieval defensive earthwork located in Suffolk. The site comprises a substantial moat enclosing what would have been a residential platform, a characteristic feature of medieval manor houses and farmsteads across East Anglia from the twelfth century onwards. The moat remains visible as a water-filled or water-logged ditch surrounding the central island, which represents the footprint of a timber-framed or stone dwelling and its associated domestic buildings.
