Moss Farm is a Bronze Age settlement complex located on Machrie Moor in Bute, Scotland. The site comprises stone circles, cairns, hut-circles and associated field systems that testify to sustained occupation and land use during the Bronze Age period. The stone circles represent ritual or ceremonial monuments characteristic of Bronze Age communities, whilst the hut-circles indicate domestic settlement and the field remains demonstrate agricultural organisation of the landscape. Together, these features form an integrated archaeological complex that illustrates the settlement patterns, economy and ceremonial practices of Bronze Age inhabitants in the Scottish Hebrides.
