Castle Green is a motte and bailey castle situated in Worcestershire. The monument comprises a substantial earthwork featuring a mound, or motte, accompanied by an associated bailey or outer enclosure, typical of Norman defensive architecture. The site dates to the Norman period following the conquest of 1066, when such fortifications were rapidly established across England to consolidate military control.
