This site is a Neolithic long cairn located approximately 625 metres west of Blackcoombe Farm in Cornwall. The monument comprises a substantial earthen burial mound of Neolithic date, representing a significant funerary structure from the earlier prehistoric period. Associated with the long cairn are evidence of Prehistoric field systems, including both regular and irregular aggregate patterns, along with linear boundaries that indicate early land organisation and management of the landscape. Later medieval enclosure features also survive within the wider site complex, demonstrating the palimpsest of land use across multiple periods from the Neolithic through to the medieval era.
