Nine huts, five post-medieval shelters and a field boundary forming part of an unenclosed stone hut circle settlement 1180m south of North Hessary Tor is a Bronze Age settlement located on Dartmoor in Devon. The site comprises nine stone hut circles arranged without defensive enclosure, together with five later post-medieval structures and associated field boundaries that attest to continued land use across multiple periods. The hut circles represent domestic occupation from the Bronze Age, when this upland moorland supported settled agricultural communities, whilst the post-medieval shelters indicate renewed activity in the landscape in later centuries. The unenclosed character of the settlement suggests an open, dispersed pattern of habitation typical of Bronze Age moorland communities in the southwest.
