Okraquoy limekiln is a historic limekiln located north of Ukinsetter in Shetland, Scotland. The structure represents the industrial heritage of lime production in the Northern Isles, a process integral to agricultural improvement and building work from the early modern period onwards. Limekilns of this type were commonly constructed to process locally quarried limestone into quicklime, which was subsequently used for soil amendment and as a binding material in mortar and plaster. The monument survives as physical evidence of Shetland's economic and agricultural practices during the period when lime burning constituted an important rural industry.
