The monument comprises a stone circle situated approximately 250 metres west of a cairn, both dating to the Bronze Age period. Such paired monuments are characteristic of later prehistoric ritual landscapes in northeast Scotland, where circles and burial cairns often functioned within shared ceremonial or funerary contexts.
