Old Hall moated site is a medieval moated enclosure located approximately 100 metres north-west of Almshouse Bungalow in Norfolk. The site comprises a substantial rectangular moat that survives as a water-filled or seasonally wet depression, representing the defensive and status-defining feature of a high-status medieval dwelling. Dating to the medieval period, the moat would have enclosed the residential complex and associated buildings of a manorial or substantial gentry house. The survival of the moat as an archaeological earthwork provides evidence of settlement patterns and the organisation of medieval Norfolk's landed properties, though the superstructure of the hall itself has not survived as upstanding remains.
