Old House of Keppoch is a medieval motte located approximately 250 metres south-east of Keppoch in Inverness-shire, Scotland. The site represents a characteristic example of early medieval fortification, constructed as an earthwork defensive work typical of the High Medieval period in northern Scotland. The motte consists of a substantial raised mound, characteristic of this monument type, which would have originally supported timber or stone structures for habitation and defence. Such mottes served as focal points for local territorial control and administration during the medieval period in the Scottish Highlands.
