Old Warren is a Neolithic causewayed enclosure located near Dorset. The monument consists of concentric ditches with interrupted segments characteristic of Neolithic defensive or ceremonial sites of the fourth millennium BC. Such enclosures are thought to have served functions related to gathering, exchange, or ritual activity rather than permanent fortification. The site represents an important example of early monumental architecture in southern England.
