The complex preserves evidence of the industrial infrastructure typical of this period, including mine workings, engine houses, and associated surface features scattered across the landscape northwest of Newton Moor Farm. These remains are significant as testimony to the technological development and scale of Cornish mining during its period of greatest productivity and international importance.
