Partially enclosed stone hut circle settlement 420m north west and 440m west of Horn's Cross is a prehistoric settlement comprising stone-built circular dwellings situated on moorland in Devon. The site dates to the Bronze Age, a period during which such hut circle settlements were characteristic features of upland pastoral communities across south-western England. The settlement is defined by the remains of partially enclosed structures typical of Bronze Age domestic occupation, wherein stone foundations supported timber-framed or turf-built superstructures. This monument represents evidence of sustained settlement and land-use patterns during the later prehistoric period on the Devonian uplands.
