The prehistoric enclosures, Bronze Age field system, unenclosed round houses and three cairns north-west of Langlee Crags, situated 900 metres south of Langlee in Northumberland, comprise a complex of archaeological remains spanning the Bronze Age and later periods. The site consists of a field system with associated domestic structures in the form of round houses, together with burial monuments in the form of cairns, reflecting settlement and land use practices of the Bronze Age. The survival of these remains across the moorland landscape provides evidence of prehistoric agricultural organisation and domestic occupation in the upland regions of Northumberland during the second millennium before the present era.
