Prehistoric irregular field system and hut circle settlement with adjacent medieval regular field system and deserted settlement SE of Tresibbet Farm is a multi-period archaeological complex in Cornwall demonstrating sustained land use from prehistory through the medieval period. The site comprises prehistoric roundhouse remains indicated by hut circles associated with an irregular field layout characteristic of Bronze Age or Iron Age settlement patterns, overlain or adjacent to a more formally organised medieval field system with ridge and furrow cultivation traces and the physical remains of a deserted medieval settlement. The juxtaposition of these two distinct field systems and settlement hierarchies provides evidence of significant changes in land management and social organisation between the prehistoric and medieval periods at this location.
