This monument is a complex palimpsest of land use spanning multiple periods, located in the tin-rich landscape of Cornwall. It comprises prehistoric linear boundaries and field systems representing Bronze Age or Iron Age agricultural organisation, overlain by medieval enclosure patterns that reflect the restructuring of landholding and farming practices in the medieval period. The site also contains tin miners' caches, evidence of the tin extraction activities that became increasingly significant in Cornwall from the medieval period onwards, utilising the same landscape previously worked for agriculture. The superimposition of these features demonstrates the continuity and transformation of human exploitation of this mineral-rich terrain across more than two millennia.
