The site comprises a regular aggregate field system organised into rectangular plots, which incorporates an associated enclosure and multiple stone hut circles indicative of contemporary settlement activity. The regular arrangement of fields suggests deliberate planning and sustained land management during the prehistoric period, while the hut circles provide evidence of domestic occupation contemporary with agricultural use of the landscape. The monument represents an important survival of prehistoric land division and settlement patterns on the Cornish uplands.
