Raschoille Cave is a prehistoric rock shelter located approximately 40 metres east-north-east of Oban in Argyllshire, Scotland. The site has yielded evidence of human occupation dating to the Mesolithic period, indicating its use as a shelter by hunter-gatherer communities exploiting the rich marine and terrestrial resources of the Argyll coast. Archaeological investigation has recovered material culture and faunal remains consistent with Mesolithic settlement patterns in the region. The cave represents an important example of early post-glacial human activity in western Scotland and contributes to understanding of coastal adaptation and subsistence strategies during the early Holocene period.
