Rattray Line, pill box 80m E of Annachie Bridge is a reinforced concrete defensive structure dating from the Second World War. The pillbox formed part of the Rattray Line, a system of anti-tank obstacles and fortifications constructed across Aberdeenshire during 1940–1941 as a precautionary measure against potential German invasion.
