Redwell Enclosure is a post-medieval field boundary monument situated approximately 700 metres north-east of Redwell in Angus, Scotland. The enclosure dates from the post-medieval period and represents the agricultural land management practices of early modern Scotland, reflecting the organisation of farming activities and pastoral use during this era. The monument consists of a defined enclosure formed by banks or boundary markers that would have served to contain livestock or demarcate agricultural holdings within the local landscape. Such enclosures are characteristic of the progressive reorganisation of the Scottish countryside during the sixteenth to eighteenth centuries, prior to the more systematic agricultural improvements of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
