Rhicullen training trenches is a First World War military earthwork located near Wester Rhicullen in Ross-shire, Scotland. The site comprises a series of practice trenches constructed as part of military training operations during the conflict, situated approximately 200 metres north and 300 metres northwest of Wester Rhicullen. Such training trenches were dug to prepare troops for trench warfare before deployment to the Western Front, allowing soldiers to practise movement, fortification, and tactical manoeuvres in controlled conditions. The surviving physical remains consist of the linear earthwork features characteristic of trench systems, which continue to be visible in the landscape as testimony to Scotland's role in preparing forces for the First World War.
