Rifle Range target and Marker's Hut, 150 metres north-west of Blea Moss in Westmorland, is a nineteenth-century military training installation. The site comprises a target structure and associated marker's hut, which would have been used for rifle practice and gunnery training by military personnel. The monument represents the expansion of military infrastructure and training facilities during the nineteenth century, when ranges for small arms practice became increasingly important features of the English landscape. The remains survive as evidence of this period of military development and land use in the Lake District region.
