Saltford Brass Battery Mill is a post-medieval industrial site located near Saltford in Somerset. The mill dates from the eighteenth century and represents an important phase in the development of brass manufacturing in England, when the Saltford works formed part of a significant concentration of metalworking activity in the Avon Valley. The site comprises the remains of structures associated with the brass battery process, a technique for working brass sheet and other metal goods through repeated heating and hammering.
