Sigston Castle is a medieval enclosure castle situated approximately four hundred metres north of Kirby Sigston church in North Yorkshire. The site comprises an earthwork defence consisting of a substantial bank and ditch that formerly enclosed a residential or administrative compound, typical of the modest fortified settlements established across northern England during the medieval period. The castle's exact dating remains uncertain within scholarly literature, though it represents the kind of local lordly stronghold that characterised the Yorkshire landscape from the twelfth century onwards. The monument survives principally as earthworks, with the enclosure bank and surrounding ditch still discernible despite centuries of ploughing and agricultural use.
