This site is a complex of prehistoric monuments comprising an oval stone circle and associated field system located in the Wiltshire landscape approximately 700 metres south-west of the West Kennet long barrow. The stone circle, of Neolithic or Bronze Age date, represents one of the ritual monuments characteristic of the Wessex region during these periods. The adjacent field system, discernible through earthwork remains, indicates organized land use and agricultural activity contemporary with or post-dating the ceremonial circle.
