The site of Rotherwas House is an ancient monument in Herefordshire comprising earthwork remains of formal gardens and associated structures near Rotherwas Chapel. The gardens, which survive as substantial ridge and furrow earthworks and terraced features, date principally to the seventeenth century and represent the planned landscape of a now-vanished country house. The earthworks preserve evidence of formal garden design including raised terraces and linear features characteristic of early modern estate layout. Together with the adjacent chapel, these remains constitute an important record of gentry settlement and domestic landscape organisation in medieval and post-medieval Herefordshire.
