St Katherine's Priory, Polsloe, is a Benedictine nunnery founded in the late eleventh century in the parish of Polsloe near Exeter, Devon. The priory was established as a cell dependent on the mother house of Fontevraud in Anjou, France, and remained under that authority throughout the medieval period. The surviving remains include parts of the priory church and claustral buildings, which demonstrate the architectural development of the site from its Norman foundation through the later Middle Ages. The priory continued in operation until the Dissolution of the Monasteries in the sixteenth century, after which the site gradually fell into decay, though portions of the structures remain visible today within the modern landscape.
