St Oswald's Priory is a medieval religious house located in Gloucester, founded in the tenth century as a minster church and later developed as an Augustinian priory. The site occupies a position of considerable historical importance within the medieval city, and the surviving remains include architectural elements from the Norman period onwards, reflecting its long occupation and successive phases of construction and rebuilding. The priory was dissolved during the Reformation in the sixteenth century, after which the site underwent various transformations. The church of St Catherine became associated with the former priory precinct, preserving elements of the medieval religious complex within the urban fabric of Gloucester.
